Hubertus Clausias hikes Bullets’ Player of the Month prize

An independent insurance and reinsurance group of broking Companies, Hubertus Clausius Malawi as increased the prize money for the Player of the Month at FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

The announcement was made on Tuesday in Blantyre when the company extended its marriage with the team to a further three years.

The company has been sponsoring FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ best monthly performers for two years and the prize money has been adjusted from the previous MK100,000 to MK300,000.

Financial Managing Director for the company, Malinda Chinyama said they decided to continue sponsoring the Club’s monthly best player to motivate the players.

“The objective of this contract is to motivate players to perform much better,” said Chinyama. “We need to increase the retains of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and also to promote the brand of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and our brand.

“On the part of Hubertus Clausia, we have been partners of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets for a long time. The whole purpose is to formalize because the contract was already there.”

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Chief Executive Officer, Suzgo Nyirenda said the deal is an encouragement towards the Club’s commercialization drive.

“This is a motivation to the players and they will work extra hard [this season ] We believe that Bullets family including supporters, and board, are happy that Hubertus are back with an increment of prize money.

“We have signed a three-year contract, this is good for us because we want to stay for a longer period with the partner. We believe that the two brands Bullets and Hubertus] will see the importance of this partnership,” he said.

Players delighted with the increase in Prize money

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets players said they are happy with the development saying it will encourage them to work hard in the forthcoming seasons.

“This is a motivation to us,” said Precious Sambani, Bullets’ Captain. “This is a morale boost to us.

“MK300, 000 is a huge amount of money. Last year, the award motivated us and this a plus. We had a successful season last year and we have to thank Hubertus Clausia,” he said.

The increase of Prize money represents 200%. Lanjesi Nkhoma was the last player to win the award in December while Patrick Mwangulu, Ephraim Kondowe, Precious Sambani, and Precious Phiri are some of the players who won the award since its inception.
