“The Chairman and some Executive Committee members of Ntcheu Chapter left on Thursday, 20th Februaruay, 2025, for Ntenguleni, Chipata, Zambia as an advance party ahead of His Majesty’s entourage. Reports were received that the Ntcheu Chapter Executive Committee members, without any formal authority, upon arrival proceeded to receive food items for all Maseko Ngoni groups coming to the function (reported to the function organisers as numbering two hundered (200) in total).

“The food items were kept by the Ntcheu Chaper Executive Committee members and not distributed to the other groups leading to complaints by most of the Maseko Ngonis who attended the function of having not been provided with any food or refreshments.

“It was also reported and admitted, during a disciplinary hearing before a panel of selected aMakhosi and His Majesty’s iNdunas, that some members of the group were instructed to impersonate Maseko Ngoni a Makhosi such as Senior Chiefs aMakhosi Dr Kachindamoto and Kwataine to enable the group receive more food items. It was also reported that some members of the Executive Committee were seen returning home with packages of the food items received at the function.
