FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach Kalisto Pasuwa has made it clear that his squad selection for tomorrow’s Charity Shield match against Silver Strikers will be based on fitness.
After winning the quadruple last season, the People’s Team are looking for the victory to defend the NBS Charity Shield for the seveth successive time.
During the press conference at Bingu National Stadium, Pasuwa said his team is ready for the tussle.
“We are well prepared as you know is the start of the season and we need each and everyone to be fit, this is our first game where we are saying anyone who is fit will play but anyone who is not fit we will try to make him fit before playing games” said Pasuwa
When providing team news, Pasuwa said all players are available for selection except the quartet of Frank Willard, Mike Mkwate, Alick Lungu and Clever Nkungula who underwent surgeries in Zimbabwe.
Asked about the challenge he anticipates from Silver Strikers who are coached by his ex-deputy, Peter Mponda, he said: Iam happy for him, he is one of the coaches in Malawi and I appreciate that”
“But for tomorrow’s game, Bullets as being one of the biggest teams in Malawi, every team always put up maximum efforts so we should prepare ourselves and improve when facing all teams”
Pasuwa has further urged his charges to forget about the 2023 quadruple record if they are to do well this season.
