During the event, Chisi expressed his excitement to be part of the party.

Chisi stated that unity is crucial for the country’s development projects to continue and expressed their interest in being a part of it.

Commenting on the future of Umodzi Party, Chisi said the decision on how the party will be run will be made by those left behind.

Chakale, began her remarks by saying “kwanu nkwanu mthengo munalaka njoka” which means “east, west home is best”.

She praised the current leadership for constructing road networks in Lilongwe, stating that good road infrastructure is essential for development.

Chakale is one of the DPP officials who have expressed their dissatisfaction with the leadership style of the party’s president, Peter Mutharika.
