The quadruple winners, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have confirmed the new recruitment of a new Centre-half, Collins Majuru on a free transfer.
The former Highlanders FC left-footed Centre-half has signed a three-year contract with the Blantyre-based giants after impressing Coach Kalisto Pasuwa during his one-month trials.
Speaking after penning his contract, Majuru said he is happy to have landed the deal with the defending Champions and vowed to fight for the badge.
“I’m willing to be part of this history-making team and I pray to God that we continue doing that,” he told the Club’s Media.
Bullets lost four defenders after the 2023 season with Yamikani Fodya and John Lanjesi both retiring from active
football while Erik Kaonga and Kenyan defender, Collins Okumu were released by the team.
Pasuwa was willing to make an additional player to his defense and he was impressed by Majuru within his first week of trials at the team, the source told The Atlas Malawi. Pasuwa has been on the market hunting for Clyde Senaji Navade’s partner in the heart of defense as the Club plans to send Kesten Simbi on loan.
“I am happy in my career to play for Malawi Champions,” adds Majuru. “I am here to continue making them champions.
“I am here to make my presence felt in the league and I am going to help this team with everything that they would need I will leave everything to the coach because he knows where I’m supposed to give the team my experience and abilities.
“Football is just the same whether you go somewhere, it’s just one language. You have to know that you are in a different country, with different people, and different coaches but football is played the same [way] wherever you go.”
Majuru is backed to bring stability to Bullets’ defense as he has played in Zimbabwe’s topflight league for Herentals FC, Harare City, and Highlanders FC.
Bullets are kicking off the season with a Charity Shield Cup game against their inter-city rivals, Silver Strikers at Bingu National Stadium on Saturday.
