FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach Kalisto Pasuwa is refusing to concede defeat in the title race, despite sitting 14 points behind TNM Super League leaders Silver Strikers.
The People’s team beat Bangwe All Stars 2-0 at Mpira Stadium today courtesy of Babatunde Adepoju and Chawanangwa Gumbo goals to climb up to fourth position where they have finished the first round of this year’s Super League campaign.
Pasuwa’s side have just won five games, drawing times in 15 league matches they have played so far.
But despite the huge gap to catch the top position as they hunt sixth back to back League titles, Pasuwa believes further twists could come over the last 15 games.
“Us we can talk of the last day of the game that’s when we talk of championship, now games are still there.
“Yes we can be far from the leaders but again these are games, we lost 17 points and these other teams also can lose those points again in the second half of the season” said Pasuwa
In between Silver Strikers and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets there’s second placed Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and Mzuzu City Hammers on third, tied up on 25 points.
The Nomads stands a chance to enhance the gap over Bullets to five points if they beat Baka City in their last assignment of the first round tomorrow.
