The Zomba based women’s football team, Attu Bullets is facing financial setbacks ahead of 2022 FAM Women’s National Championship playoffs slated for February 26th at Ascent Academy ground in Lilongwe.
Owner of the Club, Tourlay Malakamu has told the Atlas that they are still looking for well wishers to help them as they travel to Lilongwe.
“We are still in Zomba, we are expecting to leave tomorrow. We wish we could have already left this city early to have enough resting time and adapt Lilongwe weather but we have failed due to our financial crisis. We represent Zomba so it’s our plea to well wishers to come in and support us financially during this competition” said Malakamu
Despite facing financial problems Malakamu said preparations has gone on well and is optimistic of progressing to the final round.
“We are well prepared, my players are eager to compete and get the positive results. We are going in Lilongwe to win not just to participate”
Malakamu further confirmed that all his players are fit to play on Sunday.
Attu Bullets will face Civo Service United Women’s in their opening match at 11:30am before completing their assignment with in the Afternoon against Ekwendeni Sisters.
