Sana Food Court one of the most famous eating houses in the country Sana has been fully refurbished has giving it a new look both inside and outside.

Apparently the eating house was forced to close by te Malawi Bureau of Standards due to perceived falling standards, leading to loss of jobs.

About 60 employees were rendered jobless but slowly some are being recalled back giving former employees a sigh of relief.

According to the Food Court Manager Ahmed Shazad the renovations were necessitated to give customers a new experience in the food business and also comply to the demands of the Malawi Bureau of Standards to uplift the establishment.

In an interview yesterday Shazad said most customers are pleased with the new development and are patronizing the place in large numbers.

“We know we are pace setters in the food business and we will always want to maintain high standards hence the renovations, I can say we have spent over K50 million on this project even though some works are yet to be completed. We will always maintain high standards and we are happy with the support we always get from all our stakeholders including the Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS),” said Shazad.

Customers interviewed at the eating house commended management of Sana for the renovations saying they feel  the new standards will attract more customers to the place.

Innocent Halepa of Chilinde township and Judith Makoko of Area 10 said this is what a modern Malawi wants as it aspires to grow into a middle country by 2063.

“We should always aspire to do better and the new  look Sana Restaurants provides just that. We will always make sure that we come here for our meals every week end,” Makoko said.

Unfortunately during thetime the place was closed some people lost jobs but Shazad said they are in the process of recruiting more Malawians.
