In a quest to develop the citizenry, Mzinda Savings and Credit Cooperation (SACCO) has introduced a business loan facility dubbed ‘Titukuke’ effective February 1, 2023.
The Sacco’s General Manager, Maxwell Nyale told journalists that the loan has been revamped after it was suspended years ago, after realizing that there is great need to empower it’s members economically by injecting some funds into small businesses operators.
Nyale said the loan product is targeting people who already have businesses and they just want to boost up their capital.
He added that civil servants and people working in private institutions and are also operating some businesses are encouraged to access the loan with a motive to cushion their dependency on single strim of income.
He said the loan will be accessed either as an individual or groups.
Meanwhile, Nyale said that the institution has other loans catering for different needs but this loan is the cheapest one interns of interest.
Speaking with Florence Whayo from Chinsapo area who has been a member for this sacco for 15 years said that, she has benefited immensely.
Whayo said that, she has managed to send her children to school and get farm inputs for her farming.
She encouraged people to join Mzinda SACCO and enjoy the it’s affordable loan products usually accessed without any collateral.
Mzinda SACCO is a financial institution that started operating in 1996 with a population of over two thousand members drawn from both public and private institutions across the country.
