The Malawi Law Society (MLS) has unveiled a new digital platform, dubbed the Malawi Law Society Member Management System, aimed at streamlining its operations and enhancing transparency.
Developed by Sparc System Limited, the system is designed to simplify the annual membership subscription process for legal practitioners while providing a reliable way for the public to verify the credentials of lawyers.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lilongwe on Thursday, MLS President Patrick Mpaka emphasized the benefits of the new system.
“This platform will make membership renewals much easier and offer the public access to crucial information regarding the legitimacy of lawyers.
“We want to ensure that only qualified legal professionals are selected by the public, and this system will enhance confidence in the profession,” said Mpaka

With over 1,000 lawyers registered across Malawi, this digital initiative is expected to significantly improve MLS operations, making legal services more accessible, transparent, and efficient for both legal professionals and the public.
