Kamuzu Barracks Football Club have signed a year-long kit and player of the match sponsorship agreements with Super Sakuwa Steel limited, the manufacturers of Iron sheets.
Through the agreement, Super Sakuwa will be providing kits for Kamuzu Barracks as well as K100,000 for player of the match.
Distribution and Logistic Manager for Super Sakuwa Steel limited Mike Valentini, said that the move is to motivate players for greater achievements in the 2024 season.
“We decided to venture into this partnership with Kamuzu Barracks because this team has got a very wider base and we see this as the right way to marketing ourselves on the other hand motivate the team to improve this season”
“Through this partnership, we will be providing home and away kits for KB Senior and Reserve teams and we will also be awarding player of the match with K100,000 if the team wins and K50,000 in a defeat” said Valentini
Kamuzu Barracks Patron Lieutenant Colonel Saul Chinkhombe said the support is timely and will boost the team’s morale in the 2024 season.
“This is timely partnership, as Kamuzu Barracks we’ve been in the Super League for close to 10 years but we’ve never had this kind of motivation and this will definitely boost our efforts to do better this season” said Chinkhombe
In his remarks, Godfrey Makawano, Head of MDF Sports and Culture has advised players to payback by winning trophies this season.
However, on behalf of Kamuzu Barracks Football Club players, captain Herbert Wayekha has promised to win TNM Super League this season.
Representing SULOM, Executive Member William Nhlane hailed Super Sakuwa for venturing into the game, saying its in the line with SULOM mission of Reforming, rebranding rebranding and Reviving the game.
KB finished eighth in the league last season and now they are 10th with two points from two games.
