Banja La Mtsogolo, one of the leading non governmental providers of health services in Malawi is providing health services at Sand Music Festival in Salima.
The services range from Manyuchi premium condoms, emergency contraception pills, first aid, PEP and PREP. BLM is providing the services in partnership with Salima District Health Office.
Speaking in an interview, BLM Senior Marketing Manager- Simeon Thodi said despite the festival starting on a low note in terms of numbers and patronage, BLM is happy and satisfied with uptake of health services.
“We are always happy to partner the government in providing health services. We have 25 clinics accross the nation testing and treating infections diseases, non communicable diseases and providing reproductive health.
“We have taken the festival as a means to raise awareness about health and our services. We believe a health nation has the capacity to develop ” said Thodi.
Data on how services have been provided will be accessible next week through the District Health Office.
