FCB Nyasa Bullets will be without three senior players for Sunday’s FAM Charity Shield clash against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Bingu National Stadium.
Head coach Kalisto Pasuwa said defenders Precious Sambani and Gomezgani Chirwa will be sidelined for the encounter due to injuries while striker Hassan Kajoke has fitness concerns.
“We have Precious Sambani and Gomezgani Chirwa who are still out due to the injuries sustained during the national team engagements. We also have Kajoke who is still in pre-season after he came back. He is still in pre-season until he finishes and we submit him to the team,” Said Pasuwa
Apart from injury setbacks, Pasuwa also complained about the absence of some players due to national team engagements.
“In most of our pre-season, we have been training without half of the team. We wanted all players to be part of the preparations so as to master whatever we do.
“We have some new players, youngsters and the regular players, we wanted them to be available as we prepare for their mindset, tactical awareness and all other aspects of football fitness but unfortunately some were not available due to national team engagements,” he said
Despite the concerns, Pasuwa said his players are geared for the positive results on Sunday.
He further challenged this season squad to prove if they are better than that of last season which won TNM Super League and FDH Bank Cup.
