Soccer analyst Joseph Kansampha has tipped Football Association of Malawi (FAM) to reschedule the Goshen-FAM National Women’s Championship final slated for Sunday 19th March 2024.
The National finals of the competition which kicked off last Monday at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe has now reached Semi-final stage to take place tomorrow, Friday.
Since day one, the competition has been attracting many spectators, but Kansampha believes it won’t be same this Sunday due to the fixtures of other competitions.

“I feel like it’s better to move this match to Monday” said Joseph Kansampha when commenting on the highly anticipated final.
“Look, one of the best things I want to appreciate in this competition is fans patronage. Supporters have been coming in large numbers to cheer these teams and Sunday being the final, we anticipate huge crowd but this could be halted due to the Sunday’s TNM Super League fixture between Silver Strikers and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Silver Stadium and also English Premier League final-day title battles in the evening”
“So to my opinion, I think this game should have been shifted to Monday” said Kansampha
In response to the calls, National Women’s Football Association Chairperson Adelaide Migogo said nothing yet has changed despite having discussion with different stakeholders on the issue.
“We are still discussing with other parties like the competition department on how we can tackle this so when all is set and done will come back to you but as of now it’s the way it was planned” said Migogo
In tomorrow’s Semifinal matches, Silver Strikers Ladies will take on Ascent Academy while MDF Lioness will date Civil Service Women Football Club.
