Music icon Limbani Kalirani popularly known as Tay Grin believes unity and working in collaboration among all tribes in the country is a key in boosting and exposing Malawi tourism internationally.
Tay Grin was speaking in Lilongwe today after being unveiled as the first Ambassador for the Malawi Tourism Council (MTC).
“To all tribes in Malawi let’s unite, let’s celebrate who we are, all our cultures let’s showcase them to the world so that the world my know us” he said.
The hip-hop star, further said he has put a number of strategies that will help to enhance the promotion of tourism as an ambassador.
“Is very important to do collaborations with international agencies, artists who are doing well in promoting tourism”
Chairman for Malawi Tourism Council Justin Dzimkambani believes the tourism sector will benefit a lot as Tay Grin will be able to bring more music tourists in the country.
“As a musician, Malawi will actually receive more tourists interms of the musicians that will make other people to travel to Malawi, by doing that as well it will be one of the components that will increase tourism for our country”.
Dzimkambani also revealed the plans to recruit ambassadors from different industries including the sports fraternity.
