In a strong show of support for education, Tione Chirambo of Bingo Bolero Entertainment has donated learning materials to high-performing students at Bwaila Primary School in Zomba City.
The gesture is part of an ongoing initiative aimed at inspiring academic excellence and promoting a culture of learning within the local community.
Chirambo highlighted that many students struggle with motivation, which negatively affects their academic performance.
He committed to continuing his support by providing school uniforms, learning materials, and other essential resources to underprivileged learners across Zomba City.
” Many students at this school are from unwell to do families and they lack such learning materials, I will continue supporting them academically to achieve their goals” said Chirambo.
Bwaila Primary School Deputy Head Teacher, Steven Mpelembe, welcomed the donation, noting that it came at a crucial time as students prepare to begin the first term in September.
“This support has encouraged our learners to work harder. We’re hopeful they’ll aim even higher in hopes of earning such recognition again,” he said.
Despite facing various challenges, Mpelembe proudly noted that the school has consistently achieved a 100% pass rate in the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) Standard 8 exams.
