Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has hailed the administration of this years Junior Certificate of Examination (JCE), saying it had few challenges.
The portfolios minister, Agnes NyaLonje, was speaking Thursday during monitoring and inspection of the final day of the 2022 JCE examinations at Chinsapo and Bwaila secondary schools in Lilongwe.
She said the examinations went on smoothly to the extent that few challenges were encountered.
This years JCE has been extremely good because of the improved and well coordinated system that the ministry has put in place to eradicate possibilities of cheating during the examination, NyaLonje said.
She said among the challenges was one where two intruders, not assigned to invigilate, were caught invigilating the examinations in Blantyre from both private and government secondary schools.
The two culprits were arrested on the same day, according to the minister.
Meanwhile, one of the form two candidates at Bwaila Secondary School, Stella Dzimphonje, has concurred with the minister that examinations have run smoothly.
“The examination was fine as we havent heard any case of cheating, which means everything went well.
“I personally havent met any major challenge from the beginning of this years examination until today when I am finishing with Technical Drawing subject, Dzimphonje said.
According to Dzimphonje, Technical Drawing has always been the centre for her inspiration to study architecture in the university.
