Legendary Jamaican Reggae artist Burning Spear is set to perform in Malawi on October 26 2024 courtesy of Sound System Club and Sound Addicts Live.
A statement signed by Sound Addicts director Shadreck Kalukusha confirmed the roots reggae singer-songwriter, vocalist, and musician’s performance in Lilongwe.
He however, said the venue will be communicated later.
“Join us for an unforgettable night of roots, rock, and reggae,” reads the statement in part.
Winston Rodney, better known by the stage name ‘Burning Spear’, is a Jamaican roots reggae singer-songwriter, vocalist, and musician.
He is a an award winning artist with various hit songs to his name, including Marcus Garvey, Hail H.I.M, Identity, Columbus and Slavery Days.
Spear is a Rastafarian and one of the most influential and long-standing roots artists to emerge from the 1970’s.
Recently, Sound Addicts hosted a successful annual music festival (dubbed Kumingoli Bash) at Civo stadium where they brought together popular local artists including Tay Grin, Namadingo, Black Missionaries Band and many other.
