Our Aim Foundation has donated various medical supplies worth millions to Lilongwe District Health Office (DHO).
Speaking after the donation, Our Aim Foundation board advisor Imtiazbeg Mirza said by providing the medical supplies, they hope to play a small, but meaningful role in strengthening the healthcare infrastructure of Malawi and supporting the dedicated healthcare professionals who work timelessly to serve their communities.
He said the donation was made possible with support from their partner organisations Bread and Water for Africa and MAP International.
“Malawi, like many other nations, has its share of challenges. But it also possesses a wealth of resilience, spirit and determination that continues to inspire us.
“These medicines we are donating today are not just physical supplies, they are symbols of hope, compassion and solidarity. They represent our commitment to standing by Malawi’s side as it strives to build a healthier and more prosperous future for its citizens.
“As we move forward, let us continue to work together, hand in hand, to create a lasting change and uplift communities in need. Let us remember that the spirit of giving knows no boundaries, and our actions today will shape the course of tomorrow,” he said
In her remarks, Lilongwe District Medical Officer (DMO) Dr Thokozani Liwewe hailed the foundation for the timely assistance.
“Amongst the donation, we have received gloves and antibiotics which are very useful for our patients. This donation is very important because sometimes, our stocks are not as much as we wanted that’s when we turn to well wisher for restocking.
