Nyasa Big Bullets secure K0.5bn FCB sponsorship

First Capital Bank (FCB) will be the official sponsor of Nyasa Big Bullets for the next three years to the tune of K525 million, according to the bank chief executive officer Spyridon Georgopoulos.

“We are delighted to announce that we’re now official sponsors of Nyasa Big Bullets for the next three years. We know Bullets is the most successful team in Malawi, they have won all major domestic titles and we have been in football industry for the past 15 years as FCB U-20 so we believe together we can develop football and achieve more” said Georgopoulos.

The development will see the team change its name yo FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

Nyasa Big Bullets President Konrod Buckle was excited for the development and has urged other companies to emulate what FCB is doing in football industry.

“I am very excited, thanks First Capital Bank for coming into partnership with us and let me urge other companies to emulate this as these kind of support to soccer fraternity helps to change the face of football in the country”

In his remarks minister of Sports, Youth and culture Uchizi Mkandawire concurred with Buckle in calling upon companies to help develop local football by partnering with local clubs.

Apart from FCB, the People’s team are i partnership with Hurbertus Clausius Insurance company, CIC Africa, Precious Medical International and RG company.
