Malawi’s leading business publication, National Product Magazine (NPM), is one of the nominees for the prestigious 2025 Africa and Pacesetters International Awards, set for July 25 at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. This recognition comes shortly after NPM hosted its Mid-Year Awards and launched its 115th edition on June 21 in Lilongwe. An official invitation dated June 30, 2025, states the nomination honors the magazine’s significant contribution to economic growth and business visibility in Malawi and the SADC region.
An invitation from Bruce Ambetsa, Programs Communications Associate, notes this year’s event is the 9th International Awards Gala Dinner since the COVID-19 pandemic began and follows a successful Continental Chapter held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
In response, NPM Managing Director Arthur Chinyamula expressed gratitude, calling the nomination a milestone for the publication and Malawi. “This recognition is for all of us as Malawians; our collective efforts to promote local products for export are being noticed. Let us continue supporting the magazine’s efforts in advancing manufacturing, agriculture, and transport, which are essential for foreign exchange earnings,” he said.
This is the first international accolade for National Product Magazine since its founding, further establishing its role in promoting Malawi’s economic development globally.lobal stage.
