Renowned musician Skeffa Chimoto has disclosed that a number of people from Nkhotakota South East Constituency have been approaching him to contest on a parliamentary seat in the area.
Chimoto was introduced to people in the area at St Paul’s Primary School ground during a Malawi Congress Party ( MCP) rally held by Director of Youth Richard Chimwendo Banda.
Chimwendo Banda who is also Minister of Sports and Youth in Tonse government, introduced the musician as as “a son of Nkhotakota”.
Chimoto who sat among the high profile delegates, performed with his Real Sounds Band.
In an interview after the rally, Chimoto said despite calls for him to contest at the forthcoming parliamentary elections, he “don’t have anything to tell the people now, its not yes or no “.
