The Malawi Schools Sports Association (MASSA) has confirmed it’s participation in this year’s Confederation of Southern Africa Sports Association (Cossasa) slated for September, in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
MASSA President Blackson Malamula confirmed this saying his Association will use next month’s MASSA National Championship to select players for the final squad.
Malamula said he expects an improved competition to this year’s MASSA National Championship as players will be looking to make it into the the final squad.
“From this year’s national championship, we will select best players to represent Malawi during the COSSASA tournament to be held this coming September in Zimbabwe, so players are really encouraged and working hard to makesure that they are included in the final squad” said Malamula
According to Malamula, preparations for this year’s MASSA National Championship finals to be played in Mzuzu are at advanced stage.
“We are at advanced level and we are playing division finals from 26th to 28th this month, and then we are having our national finals from 14th to 18th August 2024” he added
He further expressed gratitude to all participating teams for exercising fare play during matches since the tournament started this year.
