The Lighthouse Trust has launched a four-years strategic plan that will run from November 2022 to September 2026.
Speaking after the launch on Thursday, Lighthouse Trust Board Chairperson Dr. Anne Conroy said the goal of the strategic plan is to operate referral Centres of Excellence facilities for the continuum of HIV care in all tertiary-level hospitals in Malawi by 2026 and beyond.
Conroy expressed gratitude with how communities are responding to their services.
She was hopeful that the plan will help to complement government’s efforts to have an Aids free generation by 2030.
“We are happy to launch the new strategic plan which will be vital in the fight against HIV. We have been working hand in hand with the ministry of health in giving good and quality services as well as giving counseling to those with the virus,” said Conroy
Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda commended the Lighthouse Trust for their efforts in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
“Lighthouse Trust is a very important partner in the fight against HIV and AIDS. With them we have achieved alot in terms of HIV management. We are grateful for the work they have done in complementing our efforts as we are striving to see into it that by the year 2030 we should have Aids free generation” said Chiponda
