By Erik Chiputula:

Kamuzu Barracks and Blue Eagles will face each other at Champion Stadium in Mponela in top-two battle.

Both teams had similar results in their last TNM Super League games. While Kamuzu Stadium played out a goalless draw against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, Blue Eagles blew away a 1-0 lead to draw 1-1 with leaders Nyasa Big Bullets.

Third place Kamuzu Barracks on 48 points from 25 would want a victory to overtake Blue Eagles with 1 point while Eagles with a game in hand are looking to open 5 points gap over KB and again reduce the gap with leaders Nyasa Big Bullets which is currently at 8 points.

Kamuzu Barracks assistant coach Blessings Kawanga said it’s a must win game for his side to increase chances of top 3 finish.

“We set a target of finishing in top 3 so for that to be accomplished we need to win all the upcoming matches including tomorrow’s game” said Kawanga

On the other hand Blue Eagles assistant coach Christopher Sibale believes his charges will bounce back from Ekwendeni Hammers defeat and Bullets draw to collect maximum points.

Their last meeting in the first round at Nankhaka Stadium ended in a stalemate.
