K Motors had handed over a refurbished motor vehicle to Ndirande police station as part of tightening security in the township.
Speaking during the the handover ceremony of a refurbished Toyota landcruiser, General Manager for K.Motors Marlon Mount said the gesture is part of the corporate social responsibility.
“We are committed to ensuring that we operate our business in a safe and secure environment hence the decision to help our men in uniform to address some of the mobility challenges.” Mount added.
Mount further said this is an ongoing initiative which has already reached other institutions in similar situation.
On his part, Officer In-Charge for Ndirande police Assistance Commissioner McLeod Mtunduwatha commended K.Motors for their swift intervention to repair the vehicle which he said will help to curb crime rate in the township and the sorunding areas.
“This partnership is really bearing fruits considering the fact that business operators will be assured to maximum security especially during night patrols” says Mtunduwatha.
He has since appealed to other well wishes to emulate the gesture demonstrated by K Motors as part of protecting their lives and property.
K Motors has previously refurbished an ambulance at Chikwawa district hospital and a landcruiser at Limbe police station just to mention a few.
