A renowned dancehall musician, Jay Jay Cee, real name Juma James Chisonga on Wednesday announced that he has postponed his Pamodzi music album launch which was supposed to be held on October 7 and has been rescheduled for November 4 paving way from other free of charge events.

Jay Jay Cee told Malawi News Agency(Mana)on Wednesday the postponement came after observing that there were a lot of activities happening in Blantyre hence the reschedule to November 4 citing Piano Fest with Tyler ICU, Blantyre City Arts and Festival as well as Mellz wedding among others.

“We have decided to re-schedule the album launch to 4 November due to problems beyond our control. There are a lot of free of charge events on October 7 and we chose November 4 because we need to give people time to prepare again for the show,” said Jay Jay Cee, adding that the Pamodzi album launch will still be held at Robins Park in Blantyre as earlier planned.

He said everyone who bought and won tickets from buyers, their tickets will still be valid and has asked his fans to forgive him for the inconvenience caused by the change of dates.

In a related development Qabaniso Malewezi has also postponed his show which was supposed to be held in Blantyre on October 7 at Flood Church to a date to be announced, due to logistic challenges.

In a separate interview with one of Jay Jay Cee fans, Harrison Jere, welcomed the change saying that November 4 is also the best date for the event considering that people cannot afford to ignore a free show for a pay show.

“The postponement is just good with me since on that particular day there are a lot of things happening in Blantyre and November 4 is just another good day. We will have ample time to prepare for the Pamodzi album launch,” said Jere.
