Minister of Education Madalisto Kambauwa Wirima has applauded Unicaf University for its contribution towards digital approach by blending academic learning with innovative technologies.
In her address during the 2023 graduation ceremony held at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe, Wirima said the provision of Open Distance Learning (ODL) programs remains a core priority of the ministry of education in order to maximise accessibility of education and enhancing learning through blending education with modern technologies and integrated programs. She also highligted that Unicaf University’s online programmes have created a platform of learning to become so easy and accessible for those who are pursuing further academics.
Wirima said the ministry of education will continue to champion education in the country by enhancing the education sector with modern technologies and training more teachers with modern education systems and the provision of innovative technology. She further advised the just recent graduates to live a moral life full of respect of others regardless of their status and have good characters in order to live a successful life.
In his statement Vice Chancellor of Unicaf international Dr Kelvin Andrews said adversity and resilience are the stepping stones to success hence there is a need for the recent graduates to work extra hard in their field of work to make the university proud and work towards achieving the goal of helping others.
Andrew acknowledged the hardworking efforts by the 2023 graduates describing them as remarkable, he also showed satisfaction with the increase in the number of student in the 2023 graduation cohort and he described this as a huge milestone for the university.
This year’s graduation exemplified the University’s objective of promotion of science, knowledge, learning and education through teaching and research for the benefit of the society.
