Dulux Paints by Silkon Limited National Sales Manager Gommy Mkandawire has lauded the National Construction Day saying it is vital as stakeholders deliberate on how to improve Malawi’s construction sector.
Speaking in an interview, Mkandawire said since the initial event, Dulux Paints has learnt several lessons especially on customer satisfaction.
“We have gotten feedback that has kept us going and competitive on the local market. Moving forward, we are pledging a commitment to offer services that respond to the value of the money you pay for such services.
“Malawi’s construction sector is booming, as a
service provider we need to respond to such ever growing demands,” he said.
The National Construction Day was celebrated on July 2, 2026, under the theme “People, Quality, and Innovation: Building a Legacy”.
The event, organized by the Construction Industry Regulatory Authority (CIRA), recognized the construction sector’s role in driving infrastructure growth and economic development in Malawi.
The event was graced by Transport Minister Jappie Mhango.
