The Central Region Training Centre (CRTC) Commandant, Superintendent Monica Mndala Sikoti has urged course participants to transform into leaders who are goal-oriented and admirable by followers.
She was speaking on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the official opening of the two-week Sub-Inspector responsibility course at CRTC in Lilongwe.
Said Commandant Sikoti: “I expect you to display the highest standards of discipline during the whole period of this training. The responsibility course will equip you with the knowledge and skills, which shall help you to lead by example throughout your policing career. “
She then swiftly dispelled the notion by some critics that the responsibility course is a condemnation on non-performing officers.
“The Deputy commandant here and myself have gone through the same course and it has helped us in many ways,” emphasized the Commandant.
In his welcoming welcoming remarks, the Deputy Commandant Assistant Superintendent Limbikirani Mkandawire explained that the course will involve 40 Police officers drawn from several branches countrywide.
Said the Deputy Commandant: “There are 26 males and 7 females who are present so far. We believe the rest will catch us later today”.
The Sub-Inspector responsibility course is the first of its kind this year and will conclude on July 29, 2023.
