Following the expiry of contract of Martha Chizuma, her deputy, Hillary Chilomba has been appointed acting director general of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
According to a statement signed by ACB principal public relations officer Egrita Ndalaz the appointment is in accordance with Section 8 of the Corrupt Practices Act.
“The ACB appreciates and values the great work and commitment shown by the former Director General Ms. Martha Chizuma in leading Malawians in the fight against corruption.
“The ACB is assuring all stakeholders that all its operations are continuing. We therefore request all the stakeholders to give the Acting Director General all the necessary support,” reads the statement dated June 4, 2024.
