Malawians have reason to celebrate as Anchor Industries brought home four prestigious awards, including the renowned Gold, from the GAPP 2024 Awards.

This recognition is not only a win for Anchor Industries but a moment of pride for the entire nation, as it underscores Malawi’s potential to excel internationally in the printing, packaging, and manufacturing industries.

The GAPP Awards, the most extensive and prestigious event in the print world, honor over 60 categories across various forms of printing—litho, digital, flexo, gravure, signage, and beyond. The awards shine a spotlight on the contributions of print to communication, the economy, and everyday life.

Winning a GAPP Award positions a company as a “Guardian of Print,” recognizing their role in upholding the highest standards of excellence and quality.

Anchor Industries emerged victorious among more than 1,000 competitors from top companies across Southern Africa. For Malawi, this achievement reflects the country’s growing industrial capability and commitment to excellence.

In his remarks, Managing Director Tariq Kidy thanked his team for their dedication. “This moment belongs to every member of our team and to all Malawians. We are proud to show the world that Malawi’s industries can lead and inspire on the international stage,” he said.

The GAPP Awards ceremony brought together leaders from across Africa’s manufacturing, packaging, and printing sectors to honor exceptional talent.

For Malawi, Anchor Industries’ success is an inspiring reminder of the country’s strength and resilience, showing that local businesses have the potential to achieve international success through quality, innovation, and hard work.
