Three more Airtel Money customers have won K5 million each in the sixth draw of the ongoing Airtel Money Tola Promotion, adding to the growing list of Malawians whose lives are being transformed through the competition.
The latest winners are Memory Banda, a kaunjika businesswoman from Embangweni in Mzimba District; Howard Manyozo, a retired Malawi Revenue Authority officer from Bawi in Ntcheu District; and Faith Banda, a teacher at St. Kizito Secondary School in Dedza.
Speaking after the draw on Thirsday, Memory Banda said she was overwhelmed with excitement after learning she had won K5 million.
As a trader who uses Airtel Money to send and receive money for her business, Banda said the prize would help expand her kaunjika business.
“I am very happy to have won. Airtel Money has changed my life, and I will reinvest the money into my business so that it continues to grow,” she said.
Another winner, Howard Manyozo, said the news of his win came as a surprise after purchasing Airtel bundles using Airtel Money.
“I am so excited to have won K5 million. I will have to sit down and carefully think about the best way to use the money,” said Manyozo.
The Airtel Money Tola Promotion awards three customers with K5 million each every week, and 300 weekly consolation prizes of K50,000 each. To enter into the draw, customers need to transact using Airtel Money through USSD or the My Airtel App.
The grand prize in the competition is a K50 million in August at the end of the 12-week campaign.
