“As you know, the Airtel money business relies much on the agent having good capital therefore this promotion has managed to help these agents to top up their start up funds and we are looking forward to them providing great service to Malawians”, said Kamanga.

Speaking after the draw, one of the agents Geoffrey Seunda said he was happy to see his fellow agents going away with cash prizes as this was a boost and a motivation to their business.

“The cash prizes will help us Airtel money agents to have a large pool of capital that will in return help us to service a lot of people in need of Airtel money services. We would like to ask Airtel to come with another promotion soon as it brings excitement in our job,” said Seunda.

The promotion run from 14 December last year to 6 February this year and has seen 4 lucky Airtel money agents going away with K1 million each as the top prize. Other prizes were K300, 000’s to 56 agents monthly and K20, 000’s to 40 agents weekly.
