“We want to develop football in the county, this is one of our responsibilities as a corporate company towards the developers of socioeconomic status of the country,” he said.

Sulom president, Colonel Gilbert Mittawa heaped praise on the betting firm for the partnership.

“We are excited to welcome Premier Bet to the elite domestic football family. This is a big step towards rebranding, reforming, and reviving the league,” he said.

He added that the door is still open for other companies to channel their money into the league in order to increase the revenues for the Clubs.

Sulom already got an assurance from the main sponsors of the league, TNM Plc of about MK500 Million for the sponsorship of the 2024 season.

The new sponsorship with TNM is expected to be unveiled this weekend as confirmed by Mittawa. The 2024 season kicks off on April 6, 2024.
