Events organising firm Sound Addicts has teamed up with celebrated local artist Lulu to raise funds for survivors of the devastating Tropical Cyclone Freddy which has hit most parts of Southern Malawi.

The two have since organised a fundraising show to take place at Sound Addicts studios in Lilongwe this Friday night.

Speaking in an Interview Sound Addicts founder and Executive Director Shadreck Kalukusha said the show has been organised as a Corporate Social Responsibility on the part of both Sound Addicts and Lulu & Mathumela Band who are wholly owned local brands operating in the country.

“We thought of engaging Lulu who is an award winning musician and lucky us when we approached him he didn’t hesitate but accepted to perform for free as he said this is his on only opportunity he can give back to his fans,” said Kalukusha.

According to Kalukusha they target to raise over 10 Million Kwacha from the show as all the service providers towards the show are offering services for free.

“This is a cost free event ranging from the performing artist, Zodiak Television Station, Print and Cut who are branding the event as well as studio decorators”, said Kalukusha.

The show will be beamed live on Zodiak Television as well as Facebook pages of celebrated comedian Nyauyu and Lulu & Mathumela Band.

Zodiak Broadcasting Station Television presenter Luna MC will co-host the show alongside Nyauyu.

Sound Addicts are currently tuning up to host the first ever Kumingoli Misic Bash in which they have already unveiled Jamaican Reggae artist Alaine as the headline artist.
