If FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are going to win the TNM Super League title this season, they are now going to have to do it the hard way after loosing 1-0 against Dedza Dynamos today.

After dropping points against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, Red Lions and Blue Eagles, Bullets had to beat Dynamos to boost their chances of defending the title for fifth successive season.

But a chaotic display saw them suffering an embarrassing away defeat at Dedza Stadium.

Clement Nyondo ‘s’ first minute strike was enough to hand Dedza Dynamos a 1-0 win over FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

The People’s Team slip-up gave fellow contenders Silver Strikers and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers to hijack the title from Bullets’ hands.

The result means Bullets are winless in four TNM Super League matches as they drew thrice and lost today.

Bullets’ last win was on 25th October when they hosted Kamuzu Barracks in a game that ended 3-2 in favor of Bullets.

From there Bullets have recorded 1-1 draws against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and Red Lions before their goalless draw against Blue Eagles last week.

They will be up against Karonga United in their next fixture and that will be a League decider as their win will see them claiming the title but a draw or a loss will see the title decided on the last day.

Wanderers stumble

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have blown the chance to capitalize on Bullets’ defeat to move to the top after playing out a goalless draw against Mighty Wakawaka Tigers.

The Nomads could have moved up to 57 points heading into their last encounter away to Civil Service United but they ended up drawing and loosing their second spot to Silver Strikers.

The draw comes after Wanderers collected seven points from the past three games, winning against Dedza Dynamos and Bangwe All Stars before drawing against Bullets.

The Nomads will pray that Bullets and Silver Strikers should not win in their remaining games for them to win the title by beating Civil Service United.

Silver Strikers boost title hope

Chimwemwe Idana struck late to give Silver Strikers much needed victory against Kamuzu Barracks in a match played at Bingu National Stadium.

Patrick Macheso gave Silver lead just after 12 minutes but KB equalized through Olson Kanjira midway in the second half.

But when everyone thought the two sides would share the spoils, it was Idana who dribbled past Helbert Wayekha and goalkeeper Hastings Banda before slotting home with just seconds remaining to wind up the match.

The win lifted Silver Strikers from third to second on standings as they tie with Bullets on 56 points, but still have an advantage with their game in hand.

The Bankers will be playing for Bullets to lose against Karonga so that they beat them in their last game of the season to be crowded champions.
