Silver Strikers Football Club has announced that newly appointed head coach Hedrukus Pieter De Jongh will arrive in the country tomorrow.
In a statement signed by Board Secretary Peter Masiye, the Dutch coach will hold press briefing at Silver Strikers Football Club offices upon his arrival.
“The Head coach will arrive at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe on Sunday, 12th February 2023 at 7 am. He will be welcomed by club officials, journalists and supporters. There will be then a press briefing at the team’s club house in area 47 from 9am” reads part of the statement
De Jongh started his managerial career in 1990 after being forced into early retire due to an injury.
In his coaching career, de Jongh has managed Zimbabwe’s Highlanders FC where he won Chibuku Super Cup in 2019 before moving to FC Platinum following years where he guided them to win Castle Challenge Cup.
The CAF A and UEFA A license holder had also stints with Somalia and Eswatini national teams.
