Salvation for All Ministries International have donated essential farming inputs including Irrigation solar systems, fertilizers, maize seeds and other necesarry agricultural materials to two clubs in two Senior Chiefs in Machinga District.
The clubs are Isaki and Mpesa farming club in Machinga district.
Speaking during the official hand over ceremony on Monday at Isaki farming club under Senior Chief Nyambi in the district ,The Founder of the salvation for All Ministries International , Apostle Clifford Kawinga told Atlas Malawi that the donated resources will serve as a starter pack to kick_start the farming project and enable the beneficiaries to begin cultivation with the right tools and support.
He said that the main objective of the initiative is to empower these communities through sustainable farming practices that will ensure food availability and support long term agricultural development.
” We have been traditionally preaching the gospel as well as distributing food across the country but now, we have changed the strategy to bring food security in a long run as well as spiritual independece to people.
Meanwhile, Kawinga has ensured the Nation that their ministry will continue with the exercise of distributing food across the country but now, the Strategic point of the ministry is to bring food security as well as spiritual independence to people as they serve the Lord.
He added that they have targeted 10 Cooperatives in Machinga but they have plans to tackle other districts in the country.
In her remarks, the Chairperson of Isaki Farmers club, Chrisy Thukuta commended the Apostle for the initiative saying that it is going to improve the Irrigation farming on their club.
“we were struggling to do Irrigation farming because we lacked resources. But now, things will be easy and we thank the Apostle for helping us”, said Thukuta.
According to Senior Chief Nyambi, the initiative is welcomed in the district as it will empower farmers around his area to be food secure.
“I am glad for the intervention which the Apostle has brought to our area. People were finding it hard to do Irrigation farming because they were not able to afford farming inputs on their own . So the donation will really help”, said Nyambi.
