Podcast in The North gets a K2m funding

Podcast in the North, a youth podcast channel has signed a partnership deal worth K2 Million with Golden City Tower to promote young creatives, entrepreneurs and unique innovative citizens through the podcast.

In an interview with Podcast in The North Host, Matthews Bota, said the two sides aim to work together and are committed to do a number of activities with the funds.

“The partnership with Golden City Towers will help promote the podcast activities in documenting stories of young creatives such as artists and entrepreneurs by bringing them to the lime light to be recognized by potential investors,” Bota said.

Bota added that documenting stories of these young creatives will serve as an inspiration to other people who will get to hear about their stories through the podcast.

“The K2 million deal will run for one year and we shall also conduct several philanthropic activities so as to ensure that we take lead in pushing the belief of helping the less privileged amongst our communities .as it is one of our values,” he said.

In his remarks, Golden City Towers Entertainment Chief Executive Officer , Emmanuel Mwangulu, said the decision to partner with Podcast In North was driven by a shared vision to amplify the voices of artists and provide them with a broader platform.

“At Golden City Tower, we recognize the power of storytelling in music and the arts, and Podcast In North excels in capturing and sharing these stories.

“This partnership is an exciting opportunity to merge our expertise in music promotion with their storytelling prowess, creating a synergistic platform that not only entertains but also inspires and educates the audiences about the diverse talent in the music industry.”Mwangulu said.

He added that this deal opens doors to a wider array of artists and industry insights thereby enhancing their content and reach.

“Collectively, this partnership not only benefits our two entities but also serves the broader arts community by providing a platform that celebrates and supports artists and their work.”He said.

Podcast in the North was established in 2022 and has been able to host guests like Zeze Kingston, Mercha, Gift Shaba, Tusaiwe and many others who have shared their unscripted stories on the podcast.
