By Erik Chiputula:

The Dowa District Football Association (DDFA) has confirmed the return of this year’s edition of K6million Plan Malawi Bonanza in Dzaleka, Dowa.

According to DDFA General Secretary Joseph Kamanga this year’s competition which will run for three weeks will kick start tomorrow Friday, 16 September 2022.

Kamanga added that the draw has already been done successfully.

“I can confirm that the Plan Malawi Football Bonanza is back in Dzaleka. The sponsors introduced this bonanza last year with an aim of bringing Dzaleka refuges and outsiders, so this years edition will commence on Friday”

“We have completed the draw yesterday where Dzaleka insiders have been put in their own group and the other group consists of outsiders. We believe it will be a very good tournament considering that some Dzaleka giants are facing each other in the opening round which is quarter final” said Kamanga

The opening match on Friday will be between Young Talent vs Heroes at Dzaleka Community Ground, the venue for all matches.

Teams will rest on Saturday but the showdown will commence on Sunday with the game between Uvira Sport and Senior FC.

A cracker is expected to happen on Wednesday between Dzaleka Future and Madrid FC where as Kalembelembe FC will date Ajax on Friday in the last game of quarter finals.
