The Central Region Football Association (CRFA), has been robbed growth in some areas, due to strategic gaps that are making it hard to assess progress made over the years.
The scathing remarks have been made by Christopher Njeula, who aspires to contest on the position of General Secretary, at the association’s elective general meeting, scheduled for 8th February, 2025.
In an interview with The Atlas Malawi, Njeula hinted that he can add value in rectifying some managerial challenges that hinder growth of football at the regional level.
He also mentioned about helping the CRFA to have a proper data management that will help in determine whether the Association is making progress.
“Iam also looking at the gaps in terms of having a proper strategic approach. We need to develop a proper strategic plan that will guide the association with a proper logical framework in which we’ll be able to determine whether we are growing in accordance to our mission”, said Njeula.
He added that, “We should be also able to have a proper data management. It is very important that at that level, we should be able to know how much quality that we have exported into the elite league, how many players are we actually sending, maybe in the national team, going through our ranks and files”.
Njeula is banking on his vast experience in football management, as he served Masters Security and Kamuzu Barracks on similar post.
Njeula is expected to challenge Antonio Manda, who is seeking for re-election.
Apart from Njeula, journalist Anthony Midwa Manda is another new name aspiring for a position at the CRFA, who is vying for the post of committee member.
