Mtondera’s haul lifts Kawinga top as Silver Reserve’s winless run ends

Kawinga FC striker Rahim Mtondera scores a haul of goals to help his team beat Mbabzi United 1-5 and move to the top of CRFA Chipiku Premier Division League.

Before the match, Kawinga were two points adrift of Namitete Zitha but Mtondera and Arnold Kiyama scored to ensure maximum points for the Area 22 side.

The result means, Kawinga FC have collected 38 points from 17 games while Namitete Zitha with a game in hand are on 37 points.

Elsewhere, Silver Strikers Reserve have ended their winless run after claiming a 4-2 victory over Ngolowindo FC.

Lasuli Jali led Reserves troop to sink Ngolowindo down as he registered a brace.

Other goals for the Young Bankers came from Ishmael Hassan and Moses Nyirenda.

The vistors were on target through Alex Mabvuto and Patrick Mponda.

It was an important victory for Macdonald Yobe boys who maintained their third position with 34 points.

Before this game, Silver Strikers Reserve had endured a four-game winless streak which has ended.

Ngolowindo FC on the other hand have dropped from 9th to 10th as they accumulated 17 points.

Villa FC is the team that dislodged Ngolowindo FC on 9th after beating Leyman Panthers 3-0.

The two teams are now tied on 18 points but Panthers stays above of Villa FC due to their superior goal difference.

A brace from Mazuzo Banda and a third one from Bennet Konyo made the difference in the game.

Last match involved Mangoni Warriors who were at home against Airborne Rangers.

The match produced only a single goal scored by Creed Tembo for Airborne Rangers.

With 26 points now, Airborne have dislodged Mbabzi United on fourth while Warriors have stacked at the bottom with just 7 points.
