Flames winger Francisco Madinga will have to start a new lease of life in the Botswana top flight league as the former Mighty Mukuru Wanderers winger has signed a 2 year deal with Botswana top flight side Gaborone United.
However Madinga will have to wait for 4 months to join up with his new team mates as he has been loaned out to another top flight side Morupule Wanderers.
In an interview from Botswana Madinga has confirmed to have put pen to paper to a 2 year deal Gaborone United but will spend the rest of the season on loan at Morupule Wanderers Football Club as United have exhausted their foreign quota for this season.
“It’s true I have signed a two year contract with Gaborone United but I will be playing for Morupule Wanderers for the next four months and I will return to Gaborone when they create space for me” said Madinga
Before joining Botswana heavyweights, Madinga was linked with a move to Mighty Mukuru Wanderers but reports indicate that he snubbed his former club due to an improved offer in Botswana.
Madinga spent last two seasons in Georgia where he was playing for FC Dila Gori who released him upon the expiry of his contract.
He was part of the flames squad that reached the last 16 at last year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroun.
