After successfully hosting the first ever session of the Lilongwe Summer Concert in July this year, organizers of the event have announced that they will be holding a second summer concert session on 28 October this year.

Lilongwe Summer Concert is a brain child of Pakhonde sessions which was initially a gathering of family members where they used to enjoy music and food while interacting.

Speaking in an interview, Lilongwe Summer Concert lead organizer George Kalukusha said the July concert was a success hence the decision to organize a second concert before end of the year.

“Lilongwe Sumer Concert kicked off with a bang in July, drawing art enthusiasts, families, and adverse, vibrant crowd to the enchanting Rock Gardens. Now, we’re back with an even bigger line-up of entertainment, including more music, delectable food, and a variety of activities tailored for both kids and adults”, said Kalukusha.

According to Kalukusha, apart from himself performing at the event, celebrated Afro-pop star Lawi will headline the second edition of the Lilongwe Summer Concert.

“We are going to unveil more artists as time goes but so far Lawi is our headline artist. We also intend to use this concert to provide a platform to up and coming artists to showcase their talent”, said Kalukusha.
