Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has told Dr Mbusiyeni Ndlozi to leave him alone, asking how he even came into the politician’s public lecture.
During the public lecture on Friday night at the University of Malawi, Ndlozi said he will ask Minister of Trade Vitumbiko Mumba to take him to Bushiri for a chat on the allegations he has is South Africa.
“Very very important, some of these (Prophets) are rich out of tinthe or offerings.
“There is someone here in Malawi who is wanted in South Africa, I am going to ask the minister to help me go paßt that house if that person and just tell him, there are questions for you out there in South Africa that you must come and answer.
“Whether you are a pastor or politician, you don’t have the right to steal from the poor,” he said
However, Bushiri said he was astonished with the remarks
“I was astonished to hear that Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi attended a public lecture in Malawi and asked, Why am I rich?” Seriously, why? How did I even come into your public political lecture?
“Can’t these jealous, poorly rated politicians like him with xenophobic tendencies leave me alone at once? Why so much hate against me? Your question about my wealth is nonsensical.
“You can’t bully me in South Africa and expect to do the same here at home. You can’t advise Malawians to ask me questions about my wealth; they’re not naive. Is this the reason you betrayed your brother, Julius Malema? Next time, focus on politics. To answer your question, Malawians know why I’m rich-l help the poor and create jobs,” he said
Among others, Bushiri said this past year alone, he has created over 5,000 jobs at his farms and the Goshen City project.
“And what about you in South Africa?” He asked
Recently, Chief Resident Magistrate Patrick Chirwa seating in Lilongwe has ruled that Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary, must be returned to South Africa to face their charges.
Bushiri is facing three charges of rape, as well as charges of forgery, fraud, and jumping bail. Mary is also charged with fraud, forgery, and bail-jumping.
