Halima Daud launches K84m Police Unit construction, advises communities against corruption

Member of parliament for Dowa south constituency who is also deputy minister of health Halima Daud has urged communities and local chiefs to desist from corruption in a quest to promote developmental projects in the area.

Speaking in Dowa during the launch of the K84 million Chivala Police Unit construction project under GESD with funding from World bank, she said avoiding the malpractice it’s one of vital tool towards helping the government to achieve Malawi 2063.

She said: “tendency for the sake of the community and have self ownership of the project because corruption narrows down developmental activities”.

Speaking at the event, Traditional Authority Mkukula commended government for the timely construction of Police Unit,saying the development will help to fight the crime.
