Farm Radio Trust chief executive Officer, George Vilili says after four months of testing the signal Mlimi radio is expected to be lunched this coming Saturday.
Briefing journalists in Lilongwe, Vilili said the government of Flanders who is a strategic partner of the Farm Radio Trust is expected to lunch Mlimi Radio together with ministers of Agriculture, Sam Kawale alongside Minister of Information Moses Kumkuyu.
“Our goal as national radio station is to reach every part of Malawi and provide digital agriculture extension services. We are committed to providing up-to-date and accurate information to farmers for sustainable livelihoods.
“Through Mlimi Radio, Farm Radio Malawi will contribute to the achievement of the Malawi 2063 pillar of aspiring to increase agriculture productivity and commercialization,” says Vilili.
He said Mlimi Radio is offering wide range of services, including airing of radio program, production of special programs, documentaries, adverts, promos and jingles, covering news and current affairs, and they are dedicated to providing our clients with the highest level of Quality and customer service. He, however say they are continually working to improve their services and stay at the forefront of radio broadcasting industry in the country.
Farm Radio Trust Holdings is subsidiary of Farm Radio Trust with a vision to be a leading multimedia institution in Malawi, providing competitive and Quality ICT and solutions products to the development sector.

The radio station which was awarded national commercial sound content license in July 2021, is operational, reaching 15 districts in central, eastern and northern parts of Malawi namely, Mangochi, Machinga, Balaka, Ntcheu, Dedza, Ntchisi, Kasungu, Nkhatabay, Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu.
