FAILED PROMISE! Kamwendo’s move to Wanderers nullified

Striker Promise Kamwendo has reportedly been ordered to return to Dedza Dynamos after his controversial move to Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.

In August, during mid season transfer window, Kamwendo signed a three-year-contract with Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, after he had already agreed personal terms with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

The People’s team had already paid Kamwendo’s transfer fee to Dedza Dynamos FC, but on his unveiling day he changed direction and joined rivalry camp.

This angered FCB Nyasa Big Bullets who opted for legal redress, as they took the matter to Football Association of Malawi who later referred it to the Players Status Committee for resolution.

The four-week wait has come to an end today’s as the Association’s Player’s status Committee has communicated that the player should return to Dedza as his move to Wanderers was illegal.

FAM has also indicated that the agreement between the FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Dedza Dynamos is unenforceable.

“The existing contract between the Dedza Dynamos and Promise Kamwendo is still running. Kamwendo remains contracted to Dedza and must return to the club immediately” reads part of the statement

The player has also been ordered to refund the money amounting to K6,000,000 paid to him by Wanderers.

Further more, the committee has also ordered Dedza Dynamos to refund the money received from FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers amounting to K3,000,000 and K4,000,000 respectively.

According to FAM, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have been found guilty of bleaching FIFA-FAM contractual terms and have also been charged.

“Mighty Mukuru Wanderers is hereby ordered to pay a fine of MK4,000,000.00 within 14 clear days of this ruling”

Dedza Dynamos have also been been condemned to a fine amounting to MK3,000,000.00.

The Football Association of Malawi has indicated that all charges much be paid within 14 clear days for this rulling.
