The Central Region Referees Committee (CRRC) has ensured the soccer fraternity that they have put some strategies that will help to improve officiation in the last two rounds of games in CRFA Chipiku Premier Division League.

Among League deciders, leaders Kawinga FC are dating Luanar FC in an away fixture at Kamuzu Barracks ground this Thursday.

A win for the Area 22 side will see them boosting their chances of winning the title and get Super League promotion.

Thier Patron, Joe Mwase has expressed satisfaction with how Chipiku Premier Division League have been officiated this season.

“We haven’t seen anything fishy, we haven’t seen any scenario that is abnormal to us since the start of the league so we are happy with the way they are doing their job and we believe they will finish the job that they started very well” said Joe Mwase

The Harry Saidi side is closely being challenged with Namitete Zitha FC who have 44 points and trail the leaders with three points.

The Namitete side with play against Ngolowindo FC on Sunday at KB ground in a must win game.

But in his remarks, Namitete Zitha coach Martin Mthetho Mkamanga did not hide his disappointment with the overall performance of referees this season.

“I just want to commend referees for our games against Airborne Rangers and Support Battalion, they were unbiased and wish to such officiation in our last two games” said Mkamanga

When contacted on the matter, CRFA Public Relations Officer Kondwani Kandiado believes competent referees will be provided by Central Region Referees Committee to complete the job.

“As Central Region Football Association as usual we are working hand in hand with referees association so that they keep giving us referees who’ll be able to handle the game without any interference. Iam pretty much sure with the discussions we had with the referees body, they are likely to give us referees that will not disappoint” said Kandiado

Kandiado added by reminding teams to adhere to rules of the game and exercise fare play in these last games.

“Issues of hooliganism has got no room in football so my advice to teams, let wind up these games peacefully so that we give good image to our sponsors” he added

Meanwhile Duncan Lengani the Central Region Referees Committee chairperson has admitted that they have beefed up the officiation team with Super League referees.

“We have intensified transparency and accountability, we have already come out with the list of referees who are going to officiate these final games”

“Apart from that we have beefed up the panel with those who have finished their games in Super League so that we can have fare officiation as we are winding up this season” said Lengani

Soccer analyst Joseph Kasampha has advised CRFA to consider tightening security for the referees in these games.

“I urge CRFA to provide security for referees and away teams, we don’t want to any kind of torture at this point”

The League is set for it’s completion on 14th January with a top of the table clash between Kawinga FC and Namitete Zitha FC to take place.
